EUGENE P. WANG, D.O.

Dr. Wang serves as the President of Harborside Spine and Sports Center as well as the Medical Director for Northern Michigan Substance Abuse Services Recovery Center, a nonprofit opiate addiction treatment center. He is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his residency training at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His clinical interests include interventional pain management, musculoskeletal regenerative medicine, and addiction medicine. Other interests include medical missions, cheering on his Spartans and chasing his 5 kids around.

JOSEPH P. SULLIVAN, M.D.

Dr. Sullivan serves as the Medical Director of Harborside Spine and Sports Center. After receiving his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and resident training at Georgetown/National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC, he completed an Orthopedic and Physical Medicine Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. During his senior year of residency, Dr. Sullivan was the chief resident and Resident of the Year. Dr. Sullivan is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He brings expertise in pain management and rehabilitation and offers interventional spine procedures and electrodiagnostics. Dr. Sullivan lives with his wife and four children in Petoskey and enjoys hiking and skiing.

RYAN C. COY, M.D.

Dr. Coy grew up in Northern Michigan. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Eastern Carolina University in Greenville, NC where he served as chief resident. After graduation, he moved to Virginia Beach, VA to complete his Spine and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship at the Jordan-Young Institute. Dr. Coy is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He brings experience in pain medicine with non-surgical spine and orthopedic procedures.

Dr. Coy enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. His hobbies include ultimate frisbee, basketball, and swimming.

JASON D. PETERMAN, M.S.M., PA-C

Jason graduated in 2002 with a Master’s of Medicine degree as a Physician Assistant from Trevecca Nazarene University. Since 2002 he has worked nearly 15 years in neurosurgery, and over 5 years at Harborside, where he has gained extensive knowledge of diagnosing and treating spine pathology, including learning how to read MRI’s, CT’s and x-rays of the spine. In addition to previous work in neurosurgery, he also spent five years as a clinical preceptor for physician assistant students at professor at Olivet Nazarene University where he taught anatomy and physiology classes. He provides a caring and compassionate approach to the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including various types of musculoskeletal injections.

Jason lives in Petoskey with his wonderful wife and two amazing daughters. He enjoys spending time outside with his family and enjoying God’s amazing creation in Northern Michigan, along with camping, running, biking, hunting and fishing.

ADAM M. ANCEL, PA-C, ATC

Adam graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2016. Prior to this, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Lake Superior State University in athletic training and a master’s degree from Illinois State University in kinesiology. He served the Petoskey community as the high school athletic trainer for 5 years before transitioning into his role as a physician assistant. Adam has experience in kinesiology, orthopedics, and rheumatology which allows him to offer a well-rounded approach to musculoskeletal care.

Outside of the office, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife in beautiful northern Michigan. He’s an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, biking, running, and hiking.

KYLE A. GRIFFIN, PA-C, ATC

Kyle graduated from University of Lynchburg in 2021 with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Medicine. Prior to this, he earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Liberty University. He worked as an athletic trainer for 3 years serving multiple Liberty University teams, primarily hockey. Kyle also worked as an athletic trainer for the University of Virginia’s Department of Sports Medicine before transitioning into his role as a physician assistant. Kyle has a passion for serving patients and delivering high quality care to help patients reach their functional goals while providing a sense of hope and value.

Kyle lives in Gaylord with his awesome wife. Together, they enjoy gardening, cross country skiing, and spending time with family.
